I am a 38-year-old woman who finds herself truly contented with her life at this moment; it is madness, messy, funny and predictable all at once, thanks entirely to our nine year old twins, our seven year old, our five year old son, and our two year old daughter. I’ve been married for almost fifteen years to the love of my life and I’m grateful every day that we’re together.
Writing is a joy to me; it follows me like a shadow and I chase it like a wino out for drink: eager, desperate, and a little buzzed after the catch. The only problem is that the five little people who occupy my days make it difficult for me to write even half as often as I’d like. I’m working on that.
It would be impossible to understand anything about me without first understanding that I love and try to follow Jesus every day. He is the life, my grace, my strength.
The quote from which this blog’s name is derived is by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Never let it be said that I don’t cite references.
I created this blog in May of 2009 with the intention of having a collection of writing, a place to practice writing, and to humor people, if only in little bits.
