I am a 26-year-old redhead with a brisk walk and a fondness for tea. Writing is my absolute obsession; it follows me like a shadow and I chase it like a wino out for drink: eager, desperate, and a little buzzed after the catch.
I am deliriously happy with life in Seattle as a wife, a worker, and a worshipper (of the Lord, not Mike Reph or my day job in marketing).
The quote from which this blog’s name is derived is by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Never let it be said that I don’t cite references.
I created this blog with the intention of having a collection of writing, a place to practice writing, and to humor people, if only in little bits.

I stumbled onto your blog from the comment you left on The Motherlode about Drew Brees the other day (I follow that blog religiously even though I don’t have kids, weird huh?). What you wrote there was a breath of fresh air to me! It’s refreshing to see another young person like me put their faith out there so simply and honestly. I have really enjoyed everything I’ve read here; you are a great writer!

Thank you so much for the encouragement, Amanda! I too, follow Motherlode even though I don’t have children — it’s fascinating, for whatever reason.
I hope you’ll keep reading WBO; I look forward to your feedback/insight!
